His Excellency, Louis Mussington
President of the Territorial Council of Saint-Martin
 
It is with great honor that we introduce Louis Mussington, a dedicated leader committed to the development and revitalization of Saint-Martin. Elected as President of the Territorial Council on April 3, 2022, Mr. Mussington has demonstrated unwavering dedication to public service, education, and community empowerment.
 
Background and Early Life
Born and raised in Saint-Martin, Mr. Mussington’s early years were marked by a desire to broaden his horizons through education. He moved to Guadeloupe as a child to pursue his studies and professional training. Recognizing the transformative power of education, he chose to become a teacher, instilling knowledge and values in future generations.
 
Political Journey
From a young age, Mr. Mussington exhibited a keen interest in politics and community service. His political career began at just 16 years old, showcasing a lifelong commitment to public engagement. He first served as a General Councilor of Guadeloupe for the canton of Saint-Martin in 1998, followed by his election as a Regional Councilor of Guadeloupe in 2004. In 2007, he was elected as a Territorial Councilor of Saint-Martin during the inaugural elections of the Collectivité.
 
Leadership and Vision
In 2022, Mr. Mussington led the Rassemblement Saint-Martinois-Alternative party to victory, with a clear vision to revitalize Saint-Martin. His priorities include fostering youth development, enhancing employment opportunities, and strengthening professional training programs to build a resilient and prosperous community.
 
Committees and Responsibilities
As President, he actively chairs several key committees within the Collectivité, including:
The Ad Hoc Committee for Reviewing Internal Regulations and Organic Law
The Tender Committee
The Territorial Urban Planning Committee
 
His leadership embodies a commitment to transparent governance, sustainable development, and the empowerment of Saint-Martin’s citizens.
